Ms. Eleni Bakopanos, former federal deputy, visited the Socrates III campus on Tuesday, June 21st to award Demetra Fitzsimons and Eva Scoufaras, two grade 3 students.
A former student of the École Socrates-Démosthène and mother of two daughters, Athena and Vasiliki, who are also graduates from our campus, Ms. Bakopanos, for an 8th year in a row, wanted to highlight the importance of a trilingual education and encouraging young girls in their studies.
This year, we recognize the work and efforts of two exceptional students, Eva Scoufaras and Demetra Fitzsimons.
Eva and Demetra are two hard-working and always smiling students. They respect their teachers and peers. This year, they demonstrated leadership in the area of the environment. They had the idea of preparing posters and put them up all over the school. Their goal: To remind us that it is important to respect our environment and keep a clean school. All of this was done without judging others. The message was clear. We share a school, a city, a country, a world. It is our duty to keep them clean and to stop polluting our environment.
Congratulations to our two young environmentalists!
Finally, a big thank you to Mrs. Bakopanos and the Socrates Educational Foundation for their continued support!
