Mr. Eftychios Makrimanolakis is an impossible person to forget, and it is not only because of his spectacular mustache. Father of nine children, a retired restauranteur, he has been at the origin for more than three years of a festival of good cheer for the benefit of causes that are close to his heart. The Socrates-Demosthenes School is still at the top of its list.
On August 26th and 27th, in front of Evangelismos Church, Mr. Eftychios held his latest event.. Two of his musician friends, Nick and George, embellished the event by playing gracefully and relentlessly.
Numerous family members came, as every year, to give a hand in the preparation of traditional culinary delights, such as goat stew.
Both days ended late into the night. This year the event raised $ 2,400 for our School and $ 1,500 for the Shriners Hospital for Children. We sincerely thank Mr. Eftychios Makrimanolakis for his generous initiative as well as all those who have offered their time.
