The preparation of the high school at Socrates II, allowed us to find several boxes of books which, without being useful to our students certainly could still serve other students elsewhere. Mrs. Georgia Tsakakis, director of campus Socrates II, contacted Ms. Anne Hetherington, director of TESL program at Concordia University to offer her our find.
Mrs Hetherington accepted the books with much recognition for a project in Malawi, Makupo, which will include a primary school and a medical clinic. A container will arrive in January with lots of equipment, a hundred computers and many books … including those of Socrates II.
The School is proud to lend a helping hand. Mutual aid is still the best example for our students.
