Grade 1 students of the Socrates-Demosthenes School, Campus II celebrated Earth Day by creating works of art with a collection of corks. An activity that has made young people aware of recycling … and the little things that help our planet.
World Earth Day was celebrated for the first time on April 22, 1970, an initiative of US Senator Gaylord Nelson. It is now recognized as the most important popular environmental event in the world. Today, Earth Day is celebrated around the world by more than 500 million people in 184 countries.
Congratulations to the grade 1 students. Everyone is doing their part!
