First and foremost, we hope you, your children and your families are all safe and healthy. Obviously, the corona virus has affected all of us as we do our best to cope with our new reality.
Following the press conference of Premier Legault and Education Minister Roberge, we would like to inform you of certain important details.
1- School closures will be prolonged across Québec until May 1st inclusively.
2- All ministerial exams have been cancelled for 2020. Since the return to class is still a possibility before the end of the school year, it is too early to determine final evaluations. Worst case scenario, they will be based on the first terms.
3- A certain amount of support is now foreseen at home for all grade levels. It could include activities online to be determined by our educators with directives from the Ministry of Education.
4-It will soon be possible to pick up educational materials and personal effects from your child’s class, in accordance with the prescribed directives from MEES (Ministère de l’Éducation, de l’Enseignement supérieur).
Furthermore, as of tomorrow, our school administrators and teachers will be actively starting the process of preparing and providing our students with educational activities.
As always, we will be in contact with you on a regular basis throughout the period of time the schools will remain closed. In the meantime, we urge you, each and every one of you and your loved ones to follow all the directives to help minimize and contain the spread of COVID-19. Together we will get through this difficult period.
Our sincerest and warmest regards to all of you.
The General Director,
Chris Adamopoulos.
