From Wednesday the 28th to Friday the 30th we had the honour and the pleasure to receive two teachers from Greece, who visited every class and inspired our students to fall in love with ancient Greece.
We were able to show thru role play and modeling how ancient Greece is not ancient but rather, it is timeless. It exists in every word, in every subject in almost all aspects of our lives. The teachers Sophia Goula and Vasiliki Sakka were able to connect the students to their modern day lives: Through sayings, through mythology and with a simple ‘Herete’: I wish you happiness.
We are very fortunate to weave this connection into our Greek program and to make this timeless and universal language a true reality in SOC-DEM.
