Areus continues to impress!

Last Sunday, in Laval, the Areus Track and Field Club was competing on the Claude-Ferragne track.

Areus won the award for best team! (Minime girls).

Several athletes also stood out on the individual level. The team won several events (3X 5X).

Some highlights:

Maria Stathopoulos won the Quadrathlon during her category. She finished 1st out of… 50 athletes!

Alexandra Sidhom won the shot put event with a throw of 7.93. Almost 60 cm from her closest rival.

Eva Eleotrivaris and Pierce Karras finish 2nd in the shot put.

William Karras stands on the 2nd step of the podium in the Benjamin Quadrathlon. Remarkable fact: William has been on the podium in every competition since the beginning of the season!

Many personal bests (PB)were broken by our athletes this weekend.

Thanks to our participating athletes: Thys, Gael, Pierce, Maria, Alexandra, Adriana, Eva, Sofia, Elena, Julia, Aphroditi, Eva E., Iliana, Eleni, Stefania, Marina and Sasha.

A big thank you also to our Quebec and Canadian champion , Katerina, for her advice to the youngest on the track.
