On Thursday, June 15th our grade 4 students at Socrates II went to cheer on Canadian Olympic Fencing champion, Joseph Polossifakis, a graduate of Socrates–Démosthène at the Olympic Stadium of Montreal where he was participating in the Pam-Am games for Team Canada.
Our students brought Joseph so much joy and cheered him on while he fenced his way to a bronze medal! After this win, the students went wild and did not want to leave the stadium!
Another great experience for our students this year, and very motivating for all those who dream to one day make it to the Olympics.
