Philotimo is a term proper to the Greek language, unanimously considered untranslatable. It comes from the words φίλος, for friend and τιμή, for honor. All philosophers (and all Greeks) have a different idea of the concept of Philotimo. It is associated, among others, with the idea of responsibility as a human being to act towards others with justice and love.
Grade 6 students in Campus III have tackled this elusive concept by participating in a writing contest on the subject for English class.
